Do not disturb

This dialog lets you pause sending your notifications (Do not disturb mode) for a chosen duration, or turn notifications back on if the mode is already active.

info

The dialog opens from the notifications panel (header bell icon).

  • You must be signed in to Sequentia (header notifications button does not appear for anonymous accounts).
  • No workspace permission required: the setting applies to your user account.

Open the dialog

  1. In the app header, click the bell icon (notifications).
  2. Notifications panel opens (popover on desktop, dialog on mobile).
  3. In the panel footer (visible when you are not in notification settings), click Do not disturb.

tip

When Do not disturb is active, the header bell icon switches to notifications off (red). In the panel, Do not disturb button is also red with “notifications off” icon.

What Do not disturb does

  • While pause is active, push and e-mail notifications are stopped for your account.
  • Urgent notifications ignore Do not disturb: they may still be sent.
  • In-app notifications panel (list under bell) is not hidden by this mode: you can still open the bell and view / read notifications. Only the visual indicator (red icon) shows the mode is active.
note

This setting is separate from Push / E-mail / None preferences per event type in Notifications panel settings (gear icon). Do not disturb pauses external delivery without changing those preferences.

Turn notifications back on

  1. Reopen Do not disturb from Notifications panel.
  2. Choose Disabled.
  3. Bell icon returns to normal (no red) once pause is no longer active.

What this dialog does not do

  • Configure Push / E-mail channels per event type (Notifications panel settings).
  • Mark notifications as read (panel Mark all read button).
  • Disable notifications for another user.
  • Block notifications marked urgent.

To confirm with product

  • “Until Monday” option: confirm real production behavior (exact end next Monday 8 AM, or incorrect duration).
  • Monday before 8 AM: calculation targets following Monday even on Monday morning. Confirm if users expect “today at 8 AM” when still before 8 AM on Monday.
  • Exact scope for users: confirm product label to display (e.g. “pause push and e-mail alerts”) and whether other channels still exist.
  • English label “Do not Disturb”: confirm desired casing (“Do not disturb”).
