Choose an equipment
This dialog lets you select one piece of equipment from your workspace. It opens from several screens (tickets, procedures, work documents, filters, and more). Clicking an equipment card confirms the choice and closes the dialog.

Prerequisites
- You must be signed in to Sequentia.
- A workspace must be selected.
- Equipment (and optionally folders) must already exist in the workspace. Otherwise, No content is shown for the current folder.
- Only non-archived equipment appears in this dialog.
- No specific permission is required to open the picker or to select equipment.
- The Manage my equipment button appears only if you have permission to manage equipment.
Where does this dialog open?
The same dialog is reused in several places. Examples observed in the app:
| Context | Typical use |
|---|---|
| Ticket (create or view) | Link equipment to the ticket |
| Ticket template | Set the template’s equipment |
| Procedure | Link equipment to the procedure |
| Work document | Choose the document’s equipment (may then select the owner client) |
| Work documents list | Filter by equipment |
| Ticket search | Filter results by equipment |
| Calendar (filters) | Filter events by equipment |
| Equipment report settings | Opens the same selector (see To confirm with product) |
The exact entry point (button label, what happens after selection) depends on the calling screen. This page describes the shared behavior of the dialog itself.

Browse folders
On open, you start at the root (All).
- The Folders section lists folders at the current level.
- Click a folder to open it; the breadcrumb trail updates.
- Click a breadcrumb segment (or All) to move back up the tree.
- The Equipments section lists equipment stored in the current folder (including at the root).
While data is loading, a loading screen replaces the list.

Search
Below the title, a search bar (placeholder Equipment or Folder...) finds:
- folders by name;
- equipment by name, short name, brand, model, serial number, or vehicle plate (when set).
Click a result:
- folder → opens that folder in the dialog;
- equipment → selects immediately and closes (confirmation).
If nothing matches: No results.

Select equipment
- Navigate to the right folder or use search.
- Click the equipment card (title = short name if set, otherwise full name; may be truncated on smaller screens).
- The dialog closes and the equipment is returned to the calling screen.
There is no separate Confirm button: clicking the equipment is the confirmation.
If the current folder is empty (no child folders and no equipment): No content.

Manage my equipment
If you have permission to manage equipment:
- Click Manage my equipment.
- An alert asks for confirmation:
- header: Continue the redirection?
- message: you will be redirected to another page; unsaved changes will be lost.
- Cancel: stay in the picker.
- Continue: navigates to the Equipments page and closes the picker (and often parent dialogs, depending on the calling screen).
Without that permission, the button is hidden.

Close without selecting
| Action | Effect |
|---|---|
| Close icon (X) | Closes the dialog with no selection |
| Help icon (?) | Opens contextual help for this dialog |
| Click an equipment card | Confirms selection and closes |
| Manage my equipment → Continue | Leaves for the Equipments page (see above) |
What this dialog does not do
- Create, edit, or archive equipment: use the Equipments page (via Manage my equipment if you have permission).
- Show archived equipment.
- Select multiple pieces of equipment at once in the current interface (one equipment per confirmation) — see To confirm with product.
- Show an equipment image on the card (planned but disabled in the current interface).
In-app help
In the dialog header, the help icon opens contextual help Choose an equipment, linked to the Equipments page.
To confirm with product
- Equipment report settings seems to open this selector in multi-selection mode, but the current interface only allows one equipment at a time. Confirm the expected behavior (multi-select to implement, another selector, or flow to fix).
- After Manage my equipment, some screens also dismiss the parent dialog; others (e.g. calendar filter) only close the selector. Confirm the desired product flow everywhere.
- The French search placeholder shows Équipment (spelling). Confirm whether it should be corrected to Équipement.
- A No equipment label exists but is unused; the interface shows No content. Confirm the preferred empty-folder label.
